I'm teaming up with the Matthews Community Center and the local charity Matthews Gives Back to offer a kids and family yoga class on Sunday, August 12th at 4pm. We're collecting school supplies for kids in need in the Matthews area. See my events page or contact me for more information. You can also register online here.
I'm substituting for the summer at Be Yoga South on Thursdays. Check out my class schedule for more information.
The philosophy that supports my practice, as well as my teaching, is one that serves and enhances the beauty that is inherent in each of us. It is my intention to offer the gift of yoga in a nurturing, non-competitive environment.
Yoga is for every body. Whether you are 8 months or 80 years, tall, thin, of typical height, more amply built, yoga has extended an open invitation to all.
"She is the most thoughtful and caring teacher. She truly exemplifies the closing salutation of NAMASTE."
- Ron F.
"Debi's teen yoga class helped my daughter move through a difficult school year with more ease."
- Bess M.
(former tweens & teens mom)
"My 3 year old daughter just led the whole family through a yoga class in the kitchen!"
- Sarah M.
(former baby & tot mom)
Yoga is connection: connection of muscles to bones; connection of awareness to breath; connection of mind, body and spirit; connection to your own heart; connection to community.
Some people believe that yoga is a religion. I am not one of those people. Whatever your beliefs, the practice of yoga can enhance all aspects of your life without conflict or interference. That's what I believe.
